Quiet and Comfortable- Review

Quiet and Comfortable

Stayed 5-7 Feb and 18-19 July in the dorms Rm#1 and Rm#3.

I thoroughly recommend this place if you want a quiet and comfortable stay. This is a very organised and homely hostel.

The whole hostel, in particular the kitchen, is kept very clean. There is one main kitchen for cooking and another kitchen, without a stove, for preparing food. The main kitchen is not busy and there is an outdoor deck for dining.

The bathrooms are usually kept clean but were wet after some people used them. Doesn’t anyone dry themselves whilst standing in the shower cubicle? This reduces water spillage on the floor.

The dorms were very clean and all the travellers I’ve met there seem to have a relaxed attitude. The dorms have a small refrigerator and TV. There is an inbuilt wardrobe for clothes that is helpful for keeping your belongings off the floor.

There is free internet for email and bookings.

The staff are very helpful and approachable. They do have free breakfast every morning from 7:30am – 10:30am and a BBQ dinner for guests on Saturday night at 6pm.

The price is cheaper than that of the hostels in the city.

The location is peaceful and quiet. It is close to a school so there is some traffic 8-9am and 2:30-3:30pm. Marrickville Mall is about 20mins walk away. There is a small park opposite.

Stanmore Station is a 5 minute walk away. It takes less than 10 minutes train ride to Central. Buses 423, 426, 428, 355, M30 to the city stop on the corner of Stanmore Rd and Enmore Rd about 500m from the hostel (5 minutes walk).
